CAMWorkds 2013 SP 2.0 has been Released

CAMWorks 2013 SP2.0 is now released. With this service pack, CAMWorks has focused on improving user experience and addressing the issues reported by users. Please click here (login required) to access the relevant download flies. CAMWorks has furhermore added a couple of enhancements in their endeavor to bring continued value to their users: 

• Allows partial retention of CAM data for parts programmed using a Mill machine or Turn machine in case the user decides to switch to a Mill-Turn machine
• If features and operations are generated for a part on a Turn or a Mill machine, then on switching the machine to a Mill-Turn machine, the turn features will be retained. However, generated operations, if any, will be deleted. Moving from a Mill-Turn machine to mill or a turn machine is not yet possible 

• For mobility inclined users, CAMWorks announced the addition of CAMWorksView App by their extended Geometric family. This free app allows the users to view, review and annotate 3D Work In Process (WIP) models, tool paths and relevant operation data on the go anywhere from the shop floor to the design room without the need of an additional CAMWorks license. CAMWorksView is a high performance 3D CAM data viewer for your iPad/iPhone/iPod.
• The .cwview file required to view the data in the app can be created by right clicking on CAMWorks NC Manager tree node and selecting “Publish CAMWorksView file….” in CAMWorks 2013 SP2. The created file can be transferred to iPad/iPhone/iPod via email, iTunes file share, etc.
• The CAMWorksView file now works in assembly mode too
